I've loved the look and feel of the Hellcat since I first picked it up. It is a small gun, but provides the fit and feel of a larger firearm. In other words, the Hellcat offers an optimal and suitable grip for a small defensive handgun.
Its Adaptive Grip Texture with its smaller triangle shapes and the tip adheres to the hand for a secure fire grip, while the larger ones, while the larger flat triangle shapes provide comfort with a stronger grip . This makes the Hellcat grip feel natural and fills the hand unlike other micro compact 9mm.
The gun comes with an 11+1 magazine with finger extension and flat plate, as well as an extended 13+1 magazine.

I spent a lot of time on the track with my Hellcat OSP. It's my new favorite, and in my opinion the Hellcat is perfect for concealed carry and makes most 9mm subcompacts look dated and outdated.
In many ways, you can end the conversation about the Hellcat after listing its 11+1 and 13+1 capacities plus its 4" x 6" dimensions, and it still ranks in the list of 9mm micros. Fortunately, the Hellcat offers much more.

The world of handguns has changed tremendously in the last 20 years, and it's always interesting to see where we started and how far we've come in the last two decades. There were a number of good carry pistols like the HK USP and the Glock 19, and although there were a few small carry pistols in 9mm, small 9mm pistols didn't really take off enter the market strong until the 2000s. I have bought and carried almost every gun on this list. Let's take a closer look at the development of micro-carrier weapons and see where things began, the evolution to today's modern day and what the market for micro-carrier weapons has become.
One of my favorite times to look at microcarriers was the early 2000s and what was available. Things like HK USP Compact, Glock 19 and SIG Sauer P229, 225 or P239 were pretty standard. A few companies came out with some smaller options, but in general, if you wanted a smaller carry gun, these were the options.
One of the first carry guns was the Glock 26 which was affectionately known as the "Baby Glock". Released in 1994, this amazing nine fudds upset with a capacity of 10 times. The highlight of this gun was the ability to take the larger 15 round magazines from the Glock 19 or 17 or 33 round full size magazines from the Glock 17. When Glock released the 26, it was unlike anything really on to the market with that capacity. It was definitely bulky, but it held more rounds than a traditional backup revolver or a larger semi-automatic single stack. One of the first guns I shot and decided to carry was a black Glock 26. I have fond memories of the Glock 26 and it should have a place on this list.
Kahr Arms' original K series was discontinued in 1995, but their lighter PM series was discontinued in 2004. The PM9 was an exclusive offering of a lightweight polymer framed pistol with a 6+1 capacity. This was one of the first carry guns built with lightness in mind. The overall gun only weighed about 14 oz unloaded, which was pretty incredible for a lightweight option. Equipped with a point-of-focus system and night sights, these pocket pistols pack a ton of features for the mid-2000s, and if you have $700+, you can have a pretty modern micro-carry pistol. The biggest flaw with this little microcarrier was the double action trigger. The Kahr still uses the double-action trigger, but it's not easy to fire particularly quickly under stress.
