Best Prices On Glock - The original Gen 3 is still great, my wife and I had a great time with it out of the box. Forgiving and a bit simpler, it doesn't take too much to get really good at it. The 2k rounds with a tungsten guide rod feel powerful and with a set of replacement sights it is probably a longer range gun. It's easy to learn, which isn't great for anyone, but for hiding small numbers.
I bought a gen 1 17 in the late 80's and early 90's. I've put countless rounds through it and it performs like a champ every time. I have many guns. But this is my hidden carry piece and my goto.

Big gun I taught my wife how to shoot this gun. He loved shooting and the Glock.
Shadow Systems Mr920 Review: The Best Glock Clone For Your Money?
The Glock 17 Gen 4 is my EDC that I trust with my life against someone who might try to take mine. What a relief to know I have a Glock 17 on my hip.
I work, eat and sleep my Glock 17 Gen 3! Best weapon in my book! Easy to clean, load. Buy yours now! Don't forget to buy two more magazines.
This is one of the best 9mm pistols out there. I know there are many, and the Glock 19 is #1 in the US, but the light, thin, and discreet full-size 9mm Glock 17 Gen 4 feels great on the backstrap including the beavertail because NATO FMJs are good practice and not rubbish. High pressure for cheap practice ammo. I mostly use NATO 239 grain .45 acp Glock 21 models, but this is my second favorite. I haven't tried the Gen 5 and am generally more comfortable with the mandatory size Gen 4 Glock. A better set back can help with any FTE or poor ejection issues.
Probably the best multipurpose gun ever! Look at how many LE agencies around the world trust the Glock 17. You don't get that kind of approval if you don't get the little things right! The reliability of the G17 is unquestionable; so what's not to like? Ugly gun? check Isn't it the cleanest or lightest breaker on the market? check The original "plastic" gun? check Factory front and rear sights that...ummm?...aren't they the greatest? check Go every time and put rounds like a champion? Check it out too. Did it survive and thrive through years and years of torture trials conducted by many different agencies, police departments, and the military? This is also a check. If you've never trusted your life to a Glock 17, you'll never appreciate how comfortable many civilians, law enforcement, and experienced civilians are, in having it by their side. Get one. You'll see what I mean.
Glock 19/19x/45 Gen 5 Iwb
I bought it used without knowing its history. I modified the trigger and firing pin assemblies to improve trigger pull and added fiber optic sights. It is 100% reliable! I have had it for about 7 years. Steel case, factory remanufactured and old ammo - just eat it up and spit it out! I have a collection of guns and I buy and sell them, but I keep them.
I bought my G17, Gen4 to have a 9mm action to use on the range. I used to shoot a .40 cal double action. The ease of shooting and feel is excellent. It includes back straps of different sizes, which is definitely a plus. I installed the ultimate pyramid flat face trigger assembly, extended slide release and optical sights. However, straight out of the box it shoots very well. All told, I'm about $900 into this gun, which I think is worth the cost for my preferences. Fits my hand well, accurate, low recoil, sharp trigger break and quick reset, good balance and reliable. The design of the holster is smooth, but not too bulky for concealed carry. Great at gun range and used during tac ops. I highly recommend this gun for a new or experienced shooter.
An amazing handgun never tried to jam and make it jam firing 4 18 round clips as fast as possible without jamming and also very balanced accuracy
I have owned my Gen4 Glock 17 for several years now and I think it is one of the best 9mm pistols on the market today. I installed the "Ultimate Pyramid Trigger Assembly" and fiber optic sights. These options only enhance the abilities of this gun. In addition, the large back strap and beaver tail provide a good feel and comfort. Due to the angle and size of the design, it is comfortable and smooth to have a good grip from the draw. Needless to say, this is essential to the speed of sight alignment acquisition for quick target shooting. As a duty firearm, the weight is light, so you won't get tired carrying a heavy gun around all day. At distance or during tactics the accuracy is excellent. Shooting right or left handed is no problem as it is well balanced. Whether it's accurate shots or quick shots, I've never had a malfunction. The bottom line is that I recommend this gun for home defense, service, or even competition shooting.
Buyer's Guide: Stocks For Your Glock Pistol
There was a time in 2015 when I had a situation with my friends where we had no oil or cleaning equipment and nothing was selling at any time. It was the British Army and we were glad we didn't have to clean our guns and then again it worked like a two stroke engine the gun wouldn't fire after a few rounds. I went back to an up close and personal situation and this went on and on with full contact. To this day I still have dreams about that gun that was handed to me and how it saved my life.
It doesn't strike, it just keeps the carbon out of the parts and out of your assembly. The sights that used to drive me crazy thought, But when you're in the gun push the power, guess what. It works. Thanks for my life Glock :).
I have owned a Glock 17, Gen 4 for about 5 years. To this day I still use it as homework for many reasons; durability, accuracy, versatility, weight, round count, balance and more. The changes I made to my gun are; Pyramid Trigger, TruGlo Optic Sights, Stainless Steel Competition Recoil Spring and Grip Tape. All these items are purchased through . Having the "strap back" options provides an excellent fit for the gun in your hand. There are many other handguns, the Glock 17, Gen 4 is my "go to" handgun and I am always safe when it is next to me.
I have a second generation G17 that doesn't miss a beat. I switched to new magazines. The original magazines are starting to break. I replaced the springs and changed the connector. I probably put 3000 rounds into it and would bet my life on it. I now have 5 Glocks and not a problem with one of them. I bought a G23 Gen 3 a few months ago and it has become by far my favorite firearm and I own quite a few. I also have a 9mm conversion barrel so I can shoot 40s&w or 9mm, and it's the perfect gun to carry or use as a toy. If you are considering a G19, I would consider going with the G23 and a barrel conversion. This gun can be converted to shoot 4 different calibers (it comes in 40 s&w, you can get a 9mm or .357 conversion barrel, and you can also get a .22lr conversion kit). Great weapon all around! Highly recommend this weapon.

I like the grip of the Gen 4 better than the Gen 3. It feels more secure in the hand. The dimensions of the 23 are perfect for concealed carry, but large enough to absorb recoil and provide a long sight picture. I also like the idea of the .357 Sig conversion barrel. You can't beat the Glock in my opinion.
Honestly, I used to reject glocks. They are blocky and large weapons that don't fit in my hand. Recently my wife wanted one, we went to the store and she watched the salesperson put the gen 4 in my hand and it felt like a glove. After a little research I found out they modeled the gen 4 after the 1911 grip which I love on the 1911 but I also love how much I can customize the glock. So the 23 Jan 4 will probably be the last gun I buy until it's destroyed.
First Glock I've owned and it's my #1 gun to shoot. Strong, smooth and reliable. I have several different semis from different manufacturers and that's about it
