Runner: Boston-BOS to San Francisco-SFO takes 6 hours 35 minutes and covers 2,704 miles. United, JetBlue and Virgin America all run this rough route. Update 11/28/13: Updated to include JetBlue and United as flight operators.

First Place: Bellingham, Washington (BLI) to Key West, Florida (EYW) 2,764 miles. Unfortunately, if you want to fly this way, you will need to rent your own planes.

Llu State Authorization

2nd Place: San Diego (SAN) to Presque Isle, Maine (PQI). The total distance is 2,739 miles. Again, you won't find a commercial operator offering non-stop flights on this route.

Winner: New York (JFK) to Honolulu (HNL) 4,983 miles in 11 hours 40 minutes. Operated by Hawaiian Airlines.

Runner: Technically, Newark (EWR) to Honolulu (HNL) is operated by United Airlines, but since they're essentially the same flight markets, we'll give you the third longest. Delta-operated Atlanta (ATL) to Honolulu (HNL) flies 4,502 miles in 9 hours and 35 minutes.

Update November 28, 2013: Reader Red Guevara points out that a hypothetical flight between Adak Island, Alaska-ADK and San Juan-SJU would be 6,060 miles longer than HNL-SJU. In Colonia, the historic Spanish Wall is now part of the park. Visitors are welcome to explore around.
